Mr. Ritter leads international business development at HALO Maritime Defense. Prior to this assignment, he was CEO at Fraser Optics, a defense manufacturer that produces stabilized optical technology for USDOD and USDHS. Mr. Ritter served as Executive Vice President at Ridge Global, reporting directly to the Honorable Tom Ridge, the first U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security and former Governor of Pennsylvania. He joined Tom Ridge in 2007 when they merged Trident Global Partners, with Ridge Global. His professional experience includes executive assignments at multiple defense contractors serving the National Defense and Homeland Security markets. He is the co-author of: Securing Global Transportation Networks (McGraw Hill), which was selected as an American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), ‘Book of the Month’. Mr. Ritter has been published and quoted in Security Management, Directors Monthly, Journal of Commerce, and Cargo Security International. He is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and holds an MBA from Old Dominion University. Mr. Ritter is a veteran of The First Gulf War and a former Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy. He is the Vice Chairman of the Board at Pride of Baltimore, Inc. a nonprofit that owns a replica Topsail Schooner (Baltimore Clipper), and promotes historical maritime heritage, economic development, and tourism in Baltimore.
