Lieutenant Commander DuBose is currently serving as the Maritime Cyber Readiness Branch Chief for Coast Guard Cyber Command – an interdisciplinary team that fuses marine safety and cybersecurity expertise, and is dedicated to all things Maritime Transportation System (MTS) Cyber.
In this role, he serves as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert, advising policy and lawmakers, Coast Guard Captains of the Port, and maritime industry leaders on topics surrounding cyber literacy, cyber incident response, and supply chain risk management.
LCDR DuBose holds a BS in Computer Science from Morehouse College specializing in Computer Vision, and a Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
He transferred to CGCYBER in July of 2021 from CG-791, Office of Cyberspace Forces where he served as the Cyber Integration Team Lead. Previous assignments include Chief, Emergency Management Division, Sector San Juan, Puerto Rico; Product Line Senior Manager, Operations Systems Center, Martinsburg, West Virginia; Chief, Port Operations Branch, Marine Safety Unit Galveston, Texas.
