Mr. Bobys is a recognized leader in maritime cybersecurity, currently serving as Vice President and Practice Director of Cyber Risk Management at ShorelineHudson, a leading maritime risk management firm. In this role, he oversees all aspects of client delivery, including cybersecurity strategy and advisory, enterprise risk management, governance, risk, compliance, board advisory, tailored threat intelligence, and training services.

With over 20 years of experience in enterprise risk management and transformation, Mr. Bobys is known for his expertise in designing and implementing integrated cyber-physical/security systems. Specifically, he led the team that developed and now delivers Hudson’s award-winning (2017 Lloyds List Winner for Digital Innovation) CyberLogix application suite to ports, terminal operators, and some of the world’s largest global shipping companies. His cybersecurity advisory experience also extends to airport authorities, gas utilities, and manufacturing.

Mr. Bobys advises international firms, public and private, with market capitalizations up to $50 billion. His expertise spans cybersecurity capability analysis, governance, risk reduction, and transfer. In this capacity he typically collaborates with a diverse range of executive leaders that include board members and executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and CISOs) and senior management teams. Through training and collaboration, Mr. Bobys helps organizations enhance their cybersecurity posture, mitigate risks, safeguard digital assets against continuously evolving cyber threats, and preserve shareholder value.

Before joining ShorelineHudson, Mr. Bobys held executive positions at prominent organizations such as Axio, Civitas Strategy Group (Paladin Capital), BAE Systems, Stanley Black and Decker, and CIBER (now HTC Global Services). His extensive career has seen him support a diverse range of organizations, including the U.S. Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services; NATO; the US Naval War College; the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity; the Organization of American States (OAS), Chatham House, MITRE, the World Bank, and leading Lloyds syndicates for cybersecurity underwriting.

Mr. Bobys actively collaborates with cybersecurity working groups in the American Association of Port Authorities, the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), and the Delaware Bay’s Area Maritime Security Committee. In these roles, Mr. Bobys contributes his expertise to shaping cybersecurity initiatives, developing educational programs, and establishing standards across the maritime industry. In June 2024, Mr. Bobys joined the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Cybersecurity Initiative for Strengthening Cyber Resilience in Transportation Systems.
Committed to advancing cybersecurity best practices and fostering collaboration within the industry, Mr. Bobys regularly presents at international conferences, facilitates executive workshops, and publishes articles and white papers on maritime cybersecurity with an eye to demystifying the complexities of cybersecurity to enable informed decision-making.
