Shawn Ricketts is a Principal Technical Advisor in specializing in cybersecurity and other technology threats to critical infrastructure and unique operational environments for the National Security Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). A retired Naval Aviator, Shawn has served in numerous military aviation, intelligence, and information operations (IO) roles. Additionally, he brings over 25 years of experience leading programs for the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Energy (DoE) in technology analysis, cyber security, and full-spectrum network operations. Shawn currently supports PNNL’s Evaluations & Assessments Team developing and employing novel risk assessment and management practices and leading specialized operational technology (OT) or cyber-physical assessments, with an emphasis on aviation, maritime, and other niche national security domains. He holds an Intelligence Officer Subspecialty designation through a Master of Science program from the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Joint Military Intelligence College and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
