Nigel Watkins is a Naval Architect at VITA Power- a global leader in high performance electric propulsion powertrains and small craft vessels. Nigel leads the new product development design team and is responsible for electric propulsion system integration for OEMs globally. His designs are currently used in three continents and eight countries.

Nigel is a certified compliance specialist with the American Boat and Yachting Council and has a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of New Orleans. He serves as an advisor to the ABYC electric propulsion standards committee. Nigel is also a recognized member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology in Europe. He lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.
